    The descendants of Daniel Vail spell their family name Vaill. There can be no doubt as to the identity of the ancestor. The Salmon Record is authority for the deaths of children and parents. Alfred Vail traced the father through his wanderings and located his very numerous descendants named Vail], Good-win and Beach. They were chiefly in Connecticut and Vermont. Children:

    Nathan, b. 1729; went to Litchfield, Ct.; died there in 1755, unmarried;
