Jean-Baptiste Thibodeau

     Jean-Baptiste was born on Tuesday, 7 February 1797 in Maskinonge, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of son of Joseph Thibodeau & Marguerite Robert. He was christened on the same day there in St-Joseph Church.¹ Jean-Baptiste married Agathe Ayotte, daughter of Alexis Ayotte and Marie Louise Lecoq dit Ladouceur, on 10 February 1817 in St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge at St-Joseph Church.² Jean and Agathe had children: Jean Narcisse [1/31/1818][m. 10/18/1842 Julie Fleury], Euphemie [12/12/1819][m. 1/14/1840 Antoine Paquin], Mathilde [1/20/1822], Julie [9/25/1823][m. 2/14/1843 Amable Lefebvre] & Pierre [10/08/1825][m. 2/15/1848 Suzanne Hebert].³ He was still living when his son Pierre was married on 15 February 1848.
