Selah Steele

     Selah was born on Thursday, 19 April 1764 in Berlin, Hartford County, Connecticut. Selah married Trial Stedman, daughter of John Stedman I and Mary Frances Hotchkiss, on 14 April 1786 in Berlin, Hartford County, Connecticut. Selah & Trial had children: Amy [7/05/1787-2/20/1842] [m. 5/28/1807 Ira Andrews], Selah [5/25/1789-8/09/1868] [10/05/1825 Phebe Baldwin], Ira , Thirza, Roswell [11/25/1796-5/23/1869] [m. 5/04/1826 Abigail Blakesley], Diadama [10/06/1798-5/06/1854] [m. 2/08/1821 Abram Neal], Mary [5/12/802] [m. 10/__/1827 Solomon Hamblin] & Thirza. Selah departed this life on Wednesday, 22 October 1845 in New Britian, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was buried there in Fairview Cemetery.
