Anthony was born in Charlestown, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was christened there on 23 June 1636.3 Anthony married Elizabeth Bartlett on 26 December 1661 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts.4 Anthony & Elizabeth had children: Anthony [8/18/1663-after 1/13/1731][m. Mary], Benjamin [8/16/1665-9/27/1690], John [9/30/1667-10/23/1690], Elizabeth [9/05/1669-10/11/1690], Samuel [3/08/1672], Sarah [5/23/1674], James [1/23/1678], Josiah [4/23/1680], Jeremiah [7/24/1682], Richard [4/10/1685-after 8/14/1749][m. Mary] & Matthew [3/27/1688]. He was a farmer & resided on his father's homestead in Hingham. The family home was burned by Indians in April of 1676. Anthony's wife, Elizabeth, died on 17 February 1713 in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, leaving him a widower. Anthony made his will on 21 July 1716 at Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Anthony departed this life on Sunday, 3 September 1719 in Hingham, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.5 His will was probated on 12 October 1719.
