George was born in 1695 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. About 1718, he moved to Elizabeth Town, New Jersey. He was a ship's carpenter. George married Rachel Hatfield circa 1725 in Elizabeth Town. George & Rachel had children: George [1726-4/25/1794][m. Charity Neau], Cornelius [1728-6/10/1794] [m. Esey Townley], Elizabeth [1730- ] [m. 5/01/1763 Benjamin Jackson, m. 2nd John Brown, m. 3rd Mr. Lee], Sarah [1732-12/02/1793] [m. John Clark, m. 2nd William Graham & m. 3rd Robert DeForest], Mary [1739-7/30/1759] [m. James Carmichel] & Rachel [1741-11/09/1759] [m. John Doobe]. George drowned in Elizabeth Town in September 1759.
