     Zachariah was born circa 1630 at the Plymouth Colony. Zachariah married Margaret Ford.2 They settled on his land at the "Gurnett Meadows". According to Colonial Records, about March 1651, "Whereas a certain skiff came on drift out of Massachuietts Bay, supposed to be one that ap'taineth to Mr. Hucherson of the said Massachusett and taken off by Zachariah Soule, of Duxbury—The Court have ordered that the said Zachariah Soule deliver the said Skiff unto Mr. William Paddy who was appointed to demand the said Skiff, in the benalf of the said Mr. Hucheson and Mr. Paddy to pay the said Zachariah Soule for his pains about the said Skiff." He was made a Freeman 7 June 1653 and a surveyor of the highways in 1655. He was a grand juryman in 1658. He was lost in the Canadian Expedition in 1663. Zachariah departed this life in 1663. After the settlement of his estate, his land at Powder Point fell to his brother John.
