Henry Seckford

     Henry was born in Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, at Seckford Hall. Henry married Alice Bedingfeld, daughter of Sir Henry Bedingfeld and Katherine Townsend. Henry was a member of the Privy Council of Queen Elizabeth I and in that postion looked after the interests of his father-in-law, Sir Henry Bedingfeld. After the death of his mother-in-law, in 1591, it was arranged that Sir Henry could leave the manor of his retention and stay at the Seckford home.
