Abigail was born circa 1672 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Abigail married William Downs, son of John Downs and Dorothy (?), circa 1697 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. 1698, William and Abigail and her husband, [ROF:Southold Town] werelisted on the Southold Town Census. Enumerated in this household were William Downs, Abigaill, Abigail Jr. Abigail's husband, William, died on 2 March 1707/8 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold leaving her a widow. Abigail departed this life on Tuesday, 28 December 1751 in the Town of Southold. She was buried there in the First Presbyterian Church burying ground in the village of Southold.
