John was born circa 1525 in Gloucestershire, England. John married Alis (?) circa 1548 in King's Stanley, Gloucestershire, England. John made his will on 20 April 1571. He mentions his sons John the elder, John the younger, James daughters Thomasone and Mary, his wife's kinsman, John Nicholls; his daughter's son, Edward Marten and also another daughter's son, John Hewling. He also mentions his wife Alis.¹ John departed this life in King's Stanley. He was buried there in the churchyard of St. George.² His will was probated on 9 June 1578.
