     Andrew was born in August 1837 in Pennsylvania. Andrew married Jeannette Beardslee, daughter of John Wheeler Beardslee and Elizabeth Ann Carpenter, circa 1869 in Independence Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were Andrew Reid [42 Pennsylvania], his wife: Nettie [29 Michiga], children: Maggie [9 Michigan], John [8 Michigan], & Harry [6 Michigan], He was a picture frame maker.4 7 June 1900, Andrew and his wife, Jeannette, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Detroit at 536 Fourth Street. Enumerated in this household were Andrew Reed [62 Pennsylvania Scotland & Scotland - August 1837], his wife: Nettie B. [49 Michigan - March 1851], John W. [27 Michigan - November 1872], Oliver W. [14 Michigan - October 1885], Bennett [9 Michigan - October 1890], Janie [16 Michigan - September 1883], Beulah [11 Michigan - February 1889] & Jeanett [8 Michigan - April 1892]. They had been married 30 years with 14 children, 8 living.5 Andrew's wife, an unknown person , died on 8 November 1909 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, leaving him a widower. 22 April 1910, Andrew was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Detroit.
