Luc Proteau

M, b. circa 1668, d. circa 30 January 1752
     Luc was born circa 1668 in Viellevigne, near Nantes, Lorie-Atlantique, Pays de la Lorie, France. He was the son of Mathurin Proto & Guillemette Bles. Luc married Marie-Madeleine Germain, daughter of Robert Germain and Marie Coignard, on 31 January 1690 in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church.1 Luc & Marie-Madeleine had children: Marie-Catherine [6/28/1691-3/31/1717][m. 1/11/1712 Joseph Denis Couturier], Marie-Louise [5/26/1694-3/20/1761][m. 4/29/1726 Rene Cadot], Pierre [8/19/1696-12/25/1696], Marie-Madeleine [12/10/1697], Marie-Josephe [3/19/1701-12/16/1731][m. 11/20/1721 Jean-Francois Cadot], Luc [4/17/1705-11/12/1733][m. 10/19/1733 Marie-Anne Baril], Pierre [5/16/1707-9/07/1762][m. 10/03/1735 Marie Francoise Perrault], Marie Madeleine [9/26/1709-12/12/1709] & Marie-Anne [2/13/1712-12/07/1755][m. 4/02/1731 Francois Rouillard dit St Cyr].2 Luc departed this life in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois Xavier on Sunday, 30 January 1752.3
