Nicolas Petit

     Nicolas was born on Friday, 29 December 1673 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Charles Petit & Jeanne Rossiqnol. He was christened there on 4 January 1674 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 He married Marie Marguerite Bertrand on 14 September 1700 at Neuville.2 Nicolas married 2nd Marie-Jeanne Sylvestre, daughter of Nicolas Sylvestre and Barbe Neveu, on 24 February 1727 in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church, Pointe-Aux-Tremples.3 Nicolas & Marie-Jeanne had children: Marie-Barbe [12/09/1729-3/18/1808][m. 1747 Ignace Gagnon] & Therese [12/09/1729-8/27]1730].4 Nicolas departed this life on Friday, 2 February 1731 in Cap-Sante, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at age 57 years, 1 month and 1 day. He was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Familie on Saturday, 3 February 1731.5
