Isaac Ostrom

Isaac was born on Monday, 11 November 1765 in Phillipse Manor, Westchester County, New York. He was the son of Jan Ostrom and Engeltje Storm. Isaac married Hannah Leggett, daughter of Thomas Leggett and Mary Embree, on 15 June 1786 in New York. Isaac and Hannah had children: a son [1787], Thomas [[1789-4/15/1866] [m. Louisa Pope], Mary [1791], Easther [1793], Sarah [1799], Hannah Leggett 1795], Isaac L. [1795-11/04/1870] [m. 12/31/1821 Dorcus Farnham], Rebecca [1797-1/08/1892] [m. Thomas Yearsley Miles], John S. [1806-2/09/1876].1 m. Lucy Ann] The 1790 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Saratoga, Albany County, New York, the family of Isaac Ostrum [22:1].2 The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Charlton, Saratoga County, New York, the family of Isaac Osrtrom [020011:02010].3 The 1830 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Ward #4, Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, the family of Isaac Ostrom 101000001:010011.4 Isaac's wife, Hannah, died on 13 August 1834 in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York, leaving him a widower. Isaac departed this life on Friday, 4 March 1836 in Troy at age 70 years, 3 months and 22 days. He was buried there in Oakwood Cemetery.5
