William Nickerson V

     William was born on Sunday, 15 May 1701 in Monomoit, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. William married Sarah Covell, daughter of Joseph Covell and Hannah Bassett, circa 1723 in Chatham. In 1712, Monomoit was incorporated and the name was changed to Chatham. William and Sarah had children: Absolum [11/24/1724] [m. It was stated in Chatham records that "he drowned in a creek out of a canoe last week and is not found yet" - no date was given.² His will was probated on 3 May 1763.
