Sarah Meeker

     Isaac and Sarah had children: Isaac [1744-7/02/1804], Nehemiah [6/20/1748-1/17/1821] and probably others. Sarah was born in 1723 in Elizabeth Town, Essex County, New Jersey. Sarah married Isaac Woodruff circa 1743 in Elizabeth Town. Sarah departed this life on Thursday, 5 September 1799 in Elizabeth Town at age 76 years. She was buried there in the churchyard of the first Presbyterian Church. The inscription on her tombstone reads: In Sacred Memory of Sarah Woodruff wife of Isaac Woodruff Esq. who died the 5th day of Se . . . [wording broken off] in the 77th year of her age.¹
