Francois was born on Thursday, 26 August 1745 in Deschambault, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at Seigneurie de la Chevrotiere. He was christened on the same day there in the church of St-Joseph.¹ Francois married Marie-Marguerite Germain dit Belisle, daughter of Antoine de Padoue Germain dit Belisle and Marie-Anne Gouin, on 22 January 1776 in Deschambault at the church of St-Joseph.² Francois departed this life on Wednesday, 7 February 1821 in Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade, Champlain County, Quebec, Canada, at age 75 years, 5 months and 12 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of Ste-Anne-de-La-Perade on Friday, 9 February 1821.³
