Phebe Meeker

     Phebe was born in 1740 in Elizabeth Town, Essex County, New Jersey. Phebe married James Dolson circa 1759 in Orange County, New York. James and Phebe had children: James [1760] [m. Eleanor Carpenter], Asa [1/03/1761], Mary [1734], Abigail [1765] & Samuel [2/14/1766] [m. FAnny Vail]. Phebe's husband, James, died on 23 February 1778 in Goshen leaving her a widow. Phebe departed this life on Saturday, 5 March 1808 in Goshen at age 68 years. She was buried at Middletown in Pine Hill Cemetery.¹
