Mary Ferris

Mary was born in 1669 in Throgs Neck, Westchester County, New York. She was born on the family farm. [She may have been born 22 February] She was the daughter of John Ferris I and Mary Jackson. Mary married Nathaniel Underhill I, son of Captain John Underhill and Elizabeth Feake, 27th day of the 12th month 1685-86. in New York.1 Nathaniel & Mary had children: Thomas [12/04/1687-1762], Nathaniel [8/11/1690-11/27/1775 m. Mary Hunt]. Benjamin [1694 m. Hannah], Abraham [1697 m. Hannah Cromwell], John [1700], Mary [1704-1765 m. Joseph Horton] & William [4/07/1707]. The family were Quakers. Mary's husband, Nathaniel, died on 10 November 1710 leaving her a widow.2 Mary was not mentioned among her siblings in her father's will. It is assumed she died before 9 May 1715 at New York.
