Jeramiah was born circa 1673.3 He was the son of Henry Fowler III and Rebecca Newell. Jeramiah married Elizabeth Barlow, daughter of John Barlow II and Abigail Lockwood, circa 1696.4,5 Jeremiah & Elizabeth had children: Joseph [bapt 5/29/1698][m. Sarah Archer], Jeremiah [ca 1700][m. Mercy], Samuel [ca 1709], Captain Jonathan [9/03/1713], Abraham, Abigail [m. Isaac Taylor] & Mary.6 1698, Jeramiah were listed on the Town Census. Enumerated in this household were Jeremiah Fowller, Elizabeth Fowler, Joseph Fowler.7 Jeramiah made his will on 26 September 1723 at Eastchester, Westchester County, New York.
In his will he bequeaths to his wife a one third part of his lands to be hers during her widowhood and one third part of moveables for her natural life. The children, Abigail Taylor, Mary [when she comes of age eighteen], Joseph, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Samuel and Abraham all received certain lands and equal divisions of the remainder of the estate. His wife Elizabeth and son Joseph were named executors. Witnesses: Daniel Frost, John Abias Raines, John Cuer.8,9
Jeramiah departed this life before 23 December 1723 in Eastchester, Westchester County, New York. His will was probated on 23 December 1723. The widow, Elizabeth, executrix and Joseph, son and executor exhibited the will which was proved and approved by the court. The court ordered that the two record a true inventory and present it to the court in one month, January 23, 1724.
