Martha Ferris

     Martha was born circa 1675 in Throgs Neck, Westchester County, New York. She was the daughter of John Ferris I and Mary Jackson. Martha married Daniel Clarke in New York. Daniel & Martha had children: Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah & Isabel. Martha's husband, Daniel, died before 23 January 1727 in Westchester, leaving her a widow. Martha departed this life in Throgs Neck. On 25 April 1753, in the will of her brother, Jonathan, he leaves her a room in his home. Letters of Administration of her estate were granted on 26 November 1753 to her brother, Peter.. Martha is listed as recipient of New York Administrative Bonds in 1754 presumably from her husband's will.
