Ann Coddington

Ann was born on Friday, 20 July 1663 in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.1 She was the daughter of William Coddington and Anne Brinley. Ann married Captain Andrew Willett, son of Honorable Thomas Willett and Mary Browne, on 30 May 1682 in Newport. Ann's husband, Andrew, died on 6 April 1712 in North Kingston leaving her a widow. Ann departed this life on Saturday, 4 December 1751 in North Kingston at age 88 years, 4 months and 14 days. The inscription on her tombstone reads: In Memory of Ann wife of Capt. Andrew Willett Died Dec ye 4 1751 in ye 89th year of her age.2
