Joseph Wheeler

M, b. 1 December 1683, d. before 15 September 1727
     Joseph was born on Wednesday, 1 December 1683 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the son of Joseph Wheeler and Patience Holbrook. He was christened there on 11 August 1695 in Milford.1 Joseph married Sarah Crane on 27 March 1707 in Milford. The ceremony was performed by Mr. Samuel Andrews.2,3 Joseph and Sarah had children: Mary, Patience, Abigail, Ephraim [8/05/1718] [m. Mary], Stephen [2/__/1721-7/17/1747] & Dorcas. Joseph made his will on 22 February 1727 at Newark Township, Essex County, New Jersey. In his will, Joseph mentions his wife, Sarah and his children: Mary, Patience, Abigail, Ephraim, Stephen and Dorcas. He devises lands in Connecticut and in other parts of New England and also lands in New Jersey.4 Joseph departed this life in Newark Township. His will was probated on 15 September 1727.
