John Wheeler

     John was born in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was christened there on 16 August 1640 in the First Church.1 He was the son of Thomas Wheeler and Joanna (?) John married Sarah Sherwood on 16 December 1662. John and Sarah had children: Sarah [2/24/1664], Mary [8/26/1666-1701], Elizabeth [2/15/1669] [m. 6/__/1696 Jeremiah Burch], Mercy [6/19/1671], Thomas [5/02/1673-3/02/1728] [m. 8/20/1701 Sarah Stiles], Ruth [6/30/1679] [m. 4/23/1701 John Richardson], Dinah [1681] [m. 2/13/1707 Ephraim Tuttle] & John [5/__/1684-5/19/1727] [m. 11/04/1704 Ruth Stiles].2 John departed this life on Thursday, 3 December 1716 in Woodbury, Litchfield County, Connecticut.3,4
