Elizabeth Shoemaker Rutan

Elizabeth Shoemaker married John Truesdell Carpenter, son of Townsend Carpenter and Elizabeth Truesdell, on 15 April 1849 in Horseheads, Chemung County, New York. John & Elizabeth had children: Townsend [1850] & Theodore [1851]. 20 July 1860, Elizabeth and her husband John were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Horseheads, Chemung County, New York. John is a butcher.² Elizabeth departed this life on Thursday, 5 June 1862 in Horseheads, Chemung County, New York. She was buried at Horseheads, Chemung County, New York, in the Horseheads Cemetery.
