Mary Anna Tabor

     Mary was born the 30th day of the 7th month 1840 at New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of William Congdon Tabor & Hannah Tucker Shearman of New Bedford, Massachusetts. Mary Anna married Robert Murray Ferris, son of Lindley M. Ferris and Caroline Murray, on 3 October 1865 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts. 1870, Maryand her husband, Robert were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Enumerated in this household were Robert M Ferris [30 New York], Mary Ann [30 Massachusetts], William L [4 New York] & Domestics Ann Goff [40 Ireland] & Winnie Ronney [30 Ireland]. He was a Commission Broker; their real estate was valued at $125,000 and personal property at $20,000.¹ Mary died the 29th day of the 8th month 1877 at Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York, at age 37 years and 29 days. She was buried in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
