Caroline Murray

     Caroline was born on Sunday, 11 April 1813 at Cliff Street, City, County & State of New York. She was the daughter of Robert I. Murray & Elizabeth Colden of New York. Caroline married Lindley M. Ferris, son of Elijah Ferris and Amelia Livingston, on 31 May 1836 in New York at the New York Monthly Meeting.1 17 September 1850, Lindley and Caroline was listed on the U.S. Federal Census at Montgomery, Orange County, New York. Enumerated in this household were Lindley M. Ferris [39 New York farmer], Caroline [37 New York], Lindley M. [12 New York]. Robert M. [9 New York], Gertrude [6 New York], Caroline [1 New York].2 Caroline departed this life on Saturday, 30 October 1852 in Montgomery at age 39 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was buried in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.3
