Elizabeth Ancrum

     Elizabeth was born on Friday, 29 March 1748 in Frederick County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Richard Ancrum and Elizabeth Fee. Elizabeth married John Thrasher, son of Benjamin Thrasher and Mary Hook, in 1760 in Frederick County. John and Elizabeth had children: Elijah [1762], Josiah [1/23/1763-8/08/1849], John [4/19/1765-9/08/1834], Mary [6/05/1768-2/15/1852][m. 4/03/1802 Stephen Mullins], Stephen [1/17/1771-1831][m. 1793 Mary Boyd], Elizabeth 8/07/1773 - 4/00/1796], William [3/13/1776- 1824], Sarah [10/19/1778-5/25/1825 or 1828], Thomas [7/23/1780-11/04/1806], Aaron [8/23/1784-1817] & Nancy [9/03/1787-3/03/1854]. Elizabeth's husband, an unknown person , died after 26 May 1817 in Grassy Creek, Pendleton County, Kentucky, leaving her a widow. Elizabeth departed this life in 1826 in Grassy Creek at age 77 years. She was buried there in the Thrasher Farm Cemetery.¹
