The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Path Valley, Metal Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the family of James McCurdy [00251:00300-01].2 James made his will on 28 June 1806 at Path Valley, Metal Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He mentions his wife Ann, his sons: James, John & Robert McCurdy and his daughters: Ann Farmer & Polly Adams. He mentions his son William's children: Eliza & James. [Pennsylvania 'Wills - Volume C: page 207] James departed this life in Path Valley, Metal Township. His will was probated on 21 July 1806.
