Yves was born on Saturday, 8 May 1655 in Peaule, Morbihan, Bretagne, France. He was christened there on 8 May 1655 in St Gaudence Church.1,2 In 1673 Yves left LaRocelle, France committed to work in Quebec to pay for his fare to the New World.3 A contract for the marriage of Yves and Marie Piette dit Trempe was signed on 3 March 1699 in Quebec, Canada.4 Yves married Marie, daughter of Jean Piette dit Trempe and Marquerite Chemereau, on 3 March 1699 at St-Pierre Church, Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada.5 Yves departed this life on Saturday, 3 April 1728 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, at age 72 years, 10 months and 26 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Saturday, 3 April 1728.6
