     Charity was born circa 1763 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Charity married Parshall Howell I, son of Captain Richard Howell and Elizabeth Tuthill, on 24 January 1782 in Aquabogue in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.4 Charity's husband, Parshall, died after 1796 in New York, leaving her a widow.
