Anthony was born in 1631 in Matlock, Derbyshire, England. Anthony married Sarah (?) in 1671 in Southampton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Anthony and Sarah had children: Anthony, Phebe [m. Jonah Rogers] and Joseph. Anthony departed this life on Tuesday, 17 March 1681/82 in Mecox, Southampton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, at age 51 years.1 He was buried there in Mecox Cemetery. The inventory of Anthony's estate was taken on Sunday, 22 March 1682. On 8 July 1682, Letter of Administration were granted to his wife, Sarah.
