Joseph Longbotham1,2

     Joseph was born circa 1702 in Brookhaven, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He was the son of Joseph & Judy [Perrine] Longbotham. Joseph married Mary Howell, daughter of David Howell I and Mary Parshall, on 11 November 1724 in Mattituck in the Town of Southold.3 Joseph & Mary had children: Nathaniel, William [9/27/1736], Samuel [ca. 1740] & possibly others. The family resided at Brookhaven.
