John Alling

     John was born on Wednesday, 2 October 1647 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the son of Roger & Mary [Nash] Alling. John married Susanna Coe, daughter of Robert Coe and Hannah Mitchell, on 11 January 1672 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. John attained distinction in public life. He was treasurer of Yale College 1702-1717 and judge of the Court of Common Pleas & Probate Court of New Haven, 1705-1717. John departed this life on Thursday, 25 March 1717 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was buried at New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, in the Grove Street Cemetery.
