Louis was born circa 1635 in Paris, France, at St-Jacques Parish. Louis married Marguerite Belanger, daughter of Francois Belanger and Marie Guyon, on 13 December 1666 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 1667, Louis and Marguerite were listed on the Canadian Census in Comte de Montmorency, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Louis Levasseur [31 years], Marguerite Belanger [21 years], Marie Berson [3 years] & Pierre Sasseville [25 years]. 1681, Louis and Marguerite were listed on the Canadian Census at ville de Quebec. Enumerated in this household were Louis Levasseur [53 years] Marguerite Boullanger [36 years], Marguerite [14 years], Jean [12 years], Louis [10 years], Genevieve [6 years], Anne [4 years], Charles [1 year], Madeleine Berson [17 years] & a domestic Etienne [20 years].2 Louis departed this life in ville de Quebec. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Saturday, 1 July 1690.3
