     John was born on Saturday, 1 May 1677 in West Farms, Westchester County, New York. In his will of 16 April 1697, John’s father left him “my house and outhouses, orchards, land and meadow in the Planting Neck and meadow by the yard side, and is that messuage or tenement that Thomas Williams dwells upon, and was formerly my father-in-law John Richardson's, together with fifty acres of woodland, to him, his heirs, and assignes forever.”. John married Cicily Hunt, daughter of Thomas Hunt II and Elizabeth Jessop, circa 1699 in West Farms. John & Cicely had children: Martha [ca. 1700-d.y.], John [ca. 1701- ][m. Anna Hunt], Joshua [___-before 6/20/1738][m. Abigail], David & Sarah.1 John departed this life in West Farms. Letters of Administration of his estate were granted on 18 December 1707 to Cicily Leggett, his wife.2
