Marie-Charlotte Lecour

     Marie-Charlotte was born on Monday, 20 September 1688 in Lauzon, Levis County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Michel LeCourt & Louise Ledran. She was christened there on 21 September 1688 in St-Joseph Church.¹ A contract for the marriage of Marie-Charlotte & Jean-Baptiste Samson was signed on 26 April 1706 in Quebec, Canada. It was drawn up by the notary, Mr. Genaple. It notes Jean as the son of the late Gabriel Sanson & Francoise Durand, Francoise and then her husband Jean Richard were present at the signing. Also, that Marie-Charlotte's father was the late Michel Lecourt & and that her mother, Louise Ledran was present..² Jean-Baptiste & Marie-Charlotte had children: Jean Baptiste [8/04/1707-6/28/1757][m. 1/23/1736 Marie-Genevieve Lemieuz & 2nd 7/24/1744 Marie-Anne Gesseron], Pierre [4/10/1709-4/25/1709], Charles Francois [7/06/1710-9/05/1710], Michel [3/16/1712-5/26/1737], Etienne [1714-2/04/1743][m. 2/03/1739 Marie Madeleine Charon], Marie Suzanne [5/28/1717-8/05/1787][m. 1/18/1740 Louis Bisson], Marie Josephte [1719-4/29/1765][m. 9/14/1739 Jean Baptiste Charon], Jean Jacques [9/19/1720], Charlotte [11/__/1721-8/30/1722], Gabriel [10/07/1723-10/17/1723], Joseph Marie [4/04/1725-9/20/1725] & Francois Marie [10/29/1726-11/10/1726].³ Marie-Charlotte departed this life on Monday, 9 December 1726 in Lauzon at age 38 years, 2 months and 19 days. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Joseph on Thursday, 12 December 1726.⁴
