     On 12 Septemberf 1249, Paulinus Peyvre for 100m was granted the right to arrange Adam's marriage and held in custody the Manors and Advowson of Great Rollright.1 Adam was born after 1229 in Great Rollright, Oxfordshire, England. He was not of age in 1249 when his father died making his birth between 1229 & 1249.2 Adam married Joan (?).3 In 1257, he was part of a military council and for most of the remainder of his life was involved in the military affairs of the king excluding the short period where he supported the barons in their revolt.
In 1285, he was holding the ancestrial lands of Great Rollright the seat of the family. His estates were in several different counties and were quite extensive.4,5,6 Adam departed this life before 18 June 1295 in Great Rollright, Oxfordshire, England.3,7

[S1417] William Farrer, Honors and Knights' Fees, page 258 - His son and successor, Adam le Despenser, had free warren in Ewelme in 1276, and 3 years later held part of the vill of the king by serjeanty with the advowson of the church; he also held other fees. He died in 1295 and was succeeded by his son, Amaury, then aged 40 years.
