     Almira was born on Thursday, 2 October 1851 in Benton Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Andrew J. & Nancy [Brittain] Laubaugh. She often went by the nick name Allie. Almira married Isaac Westbrook Howell, son of John Howell and Mariett Decker, on 24 September 1879 in Stockbridge, Ingham County, Michigan.1 Isaac & Almira had children: Nathan [10/01/1880- ], Atheline [10/01/1880- ], Mary Emily [6/12/1882-11/24/1961][m. 1904 Henry Sheatolm], Ellen "Jennie" [5/24/1887-6/11/1957][m. 12/16/1908 Wesley Wiegman], Marietta [8/10/1889-7/09/1965][m. 2/98/1911 Elmer C. Pryor]. 11 June 1880, Almira and her husband, Isaac, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in White Oaks Township, Ingham County, Michigan. Enumerated in this household were Isaac W. Howell [26 Michigan - NJ & NJ] & his wife: Allie [28 Pennsylvania].2 Almira's husband, Isaac, died on 12 May 1890 in White Oaks Township leaving her a widow.3 20 June 1900, Almira was listed on the U.S. Federal Census in White Oaks Township. Enumerated in this household were Almira Howell [48 Pennsylvania - October 1851], Emma [17 Michigan - June 1882], Jennie E. [13 Michigan - May 1887] & Marietta [11 Michigan- - August 1888]. She was a widow with 4 children, all living.4 Almira departed this life on Sunday, 8 December 1946 in White Oaks Township at age 95 years, 2 months and 6 days. She was buried at Unadilla Township, Livingston County, Michigan, in the Plainfield Village Cemetery.5,6
