Sarah Lamar

     Sarah was born on Thursday, 20 September 1770 in Prince George's County, Maryland. She was the daughter of William Bishop Lamar and Elizabeth Smith. Sarah married Elias Thrasher, son of Thomas Thrasher and Martha Lee, on 4 November 1788 in Frederick City at the German Reformed Church.¹ Sarah's husband, Elias, died in 1823 in Lovettsville, Loudoun County, Virginia, leaving her a widow. Sarah departed this life on Friday, 10 March 1854 in Lovettsville at age 83 years, 5 months and 18 days. She was buried there in Old Presbyterian Cemetery.¹
