     Johann Conrad was born on Friday, 20 December 1709 in Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. He was born in the evening. On 22 December 1709, he was christened at Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. Johann married Anna Margaretha Scheffer, daughter of Johann Carl Scheffer and Anna Gertrude (?), on 7 May 1737 in Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. In the late summer of 1764, Conrad & his wife, Anna, left from Rotterdam under the command of Capt. James Egar aboard the ship, "Prince of Wales", among the passengers were Conrad Corfman, his wife Anna and their children; they arrived in Philadelphia on the 5th of November and took the oath of allegience that same day.. Conrad owned land next to the Freidensaal Church in Seven Valleys. This was the first church in America that the Corfman family attended. Over the years, he and his wife, Anna, were sponsors at many baptisms there. Conrad also served often in local offices. Later, Conrad, his son Jacob and brother Daniel were among the first members of the St. Peters Reformed Church there in Shrewsbury. Johann departed this life before 27 July 1785 in Springfield Township, York County, Pennsylvania.
