Johann Daniel was born in 1681 in Alzey, Rheinhessen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. Johann was confirmed (an unknown value) at age at an unknown age , 1695 at the Evangelisch Church, Stein-Bockenheim, Rheinhessen, Germany. Johann married Susannah Reiss, daughter of Hans Conrad Reiss and Anna Apollonia (?), on 14 November 1703 in Stein-Bockenheim at the Evangelisch Church. The family resided at Stein-Bockenheim, where, in 1727, he succeeded his father as Schultheiss. That same year he built a house in the main part of town. He retained the position of Schultheiss until 1732. Johann departed this life in Stein-Bockenheim. He was buried there on Sunday, 11 January 1732/33.
