Jonathan King

Jonathan was born circa 1770 in New York. It was either in Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island or in Orange County.1 Jonathan married Mary Vail, daughter of William Vail and Phebe Vail, circa 1790 in Orange County, New York. Jonathan made his will on 9 October 1815.
In the name of God, Amen, I, Jonathan King, of the Town of Deerpark, Orange County, New York . . . He mentions his wife, Mary, daughter, Phebe [a mino], sons: John [eldest] & Hiram V. [minor]. He made Erastus Mapes, John Rhoads & Benjamin Woodward his executors. Joshua Penny, David Campbell & Silas Gildersleeve were witnesses.2
Jonathan departed this life before 15 January 1816 in the Town of Deerpark, Orange County, New York. His will was probated on 15 January 1816.
