Maria Dorothea Kahn

     Maria Dorothea was born on Sunday, 19 April 1733 in Impfingen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. She was the daughter of Nicolas Kahn and Cathrina Spangler. Maria Dorothea married Peter Peterman, son of Hans Velten Petermann and Anna Elisabethia (?), circa 1753 in York County, Pennsylvania. Maria's husband, Peter, died before 15 October 1778 in Windsor Township, leaving her a widow. Maria made her will on 12 May 1790 at York, York County, Pennsylvania. She mentions her daughter, Barbara, wife of John Stop, executors: friend & nephew, Isaac Gartman.¹ Maria departed this life in York. Her will was probated on 29 May 1790.
