Barbe Jolivet

     Barbe was born on Wednesday, 27 June 1708 in L'Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 29 June 1708 in L'Annonciation Church.1 Barbe married Athanase Letartre, son of Charles Letartre and Marie Maheu, on 25 February 1727 in L'Ange-Gardien, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of L'Ange-Gardien.2 Barbe's husband, Athanase, died before 4 November 1732 in Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. She married second, on 4 November 1732, Pierre Dubeau. Barbe departed this life on Friday, 2 January 1756 in Charlesbourg, ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Charles-Borromee on Saturday, 3 January 1756.3
