     Francoise was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 21 January 1658 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Francoise married Antoine Basinet dit Tourblanc on 6 August 1674 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.2 1681, Francoise and her husband, Antoine, were listed on the Canadian Census in Notre Dame de Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Antoine Lefinet [32 years], Francoise Janot [23 years], Marie [6 years], Pierre [4 years] & Joseph [2 years]. [Note - This census was mistranscribed - Lefinet should have been Basinet - KLM]3 Francoise's husband, Antoine, died circa 24 June 1729 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal, leaving her a widow. Francoise departed this life on Sunday, 14 June 1739 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Enfant-Jesus on Tuesday, 16 June 1739.4
