Jacques Jahan dit Laviolette

     Jacques was born on Saturday, 24 February 1663 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jacques Jahan & Marie Ferail. He was christened there on 28 February 1663 in the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.¹ Jacques married Anne Trepagny, daughter of Romain Trepagny and Genevieve Drouin, on 5 November 1686 in Chateau-Richer at the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.² Jacques & Anne had children: Jacques [8/19/1687-8/27/1687], Marie-Anne [11/24/1688-12/03/1688], Jacques[12/19/1689-1/14/1763][m. 5/31/1720 Anne Faureau], Elisabeth [1/22/1692-2/27/1705], Marie-Anne [3/15/1693-1/02/1745][m. 5/10/1717 Guillaume Therrien], Marie Catherine [5/30/1694-11/12/1771][m. 11/27/1713 Gabriel Blouin dit Laviolette], Therese [9/10/1695-11/26/1729], Ursule [4/04/1697-11/05/1750][m. 1720 Francois-Noel dit Charland], Joseph [6/28/1698-5/09/1773][m. 11/17/1721 Marguerite Roy & 2nd 5/21/1764 Catherine Pruneau], Francois [9/05/1699-11/25/1699], Augustin [10/23/1700-10/20/1774][m. 1/09/1730 Marie-Louise Martin dit Langoumois], Francois [1/11/1702-3/30/1760][m. 2/07/1729 Marie Bourassa & 2nd 1/24/1736 Francois Chatigny],Marie-Josephe 3/31/1704-4/04/1708], Genevieve [11/15/1705-11/27/1705], Jean [12/03/1706-2/10/1713] & Marie-Charlotte [8/10/1709][m. 11/05/1725 Joseph Audet dit Lapointre].³ Jacques's wife, Anne, died circa 6 January 1711 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. Jacques departed this life on Thursday, 16 April 1711 in ville de Quebec. He was buried there in the Notre Dame Cemetery on Friday, 17 April 1711.⁴
