     Martha was born circa 1678 in Jerusalem, Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Martha married Peter Titus, son of Edmund Titus and Martha Washbourne, after 31 August 1698 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. In later years, Martha Titus was described as follows: "Some years before her death she was helpless and kept to her bed. Her natural faculties became much impaired yet she retained a lively sense of the divine goodness and many times near her door, feeling the fresh springs Divine life too well up in her soul, she would exhort her children and others to wait upon God, that they might thereby be made sensible to the workings of Truth in their hearts which was theway through obedience there upon to find peace with God." Martha departed this life on Monday, 10 December 1753 in the Town of Hempstead, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
