Isiah Inman

     Isiah was born circa 1690 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. Isiah & his first wife [name unknown] had children: Mary & Lydia. Isiah married 2nd Sarah Cutler on 14 October 1744.¹ Isiah & Sarah had a son, Isiah [10/01/1755]. Isiah made his will on 8 April 1753 at Glocester, Smithfield Township, Providence County, Rhode Island. He mentions his brother-in-law, John Smith & friend, Elisha Eddy, as executors. To wife, Sarah, use of one third of my dwelling house & sufficient income of real estate for comfortable maintenance while she remail his widow. And use of sufficient household goods, but if she marry only to have goods she brought with her and 100 pounds, according to agreement before marriage. To grandson, Stephen Aldridge, and my two daughters, Mary & Lydia, and child my said wife is like to have, if it be a female, all real estate equally. If the child be a male, to have land bought of Abraham Ballou, and my house where I now dwell, and wearing apparel. If the child be female, wearing apparel to go to grandson Aldridge. Isiah departed this life on Monday, 3 February 1755 in Glocester, Smithfield Township. His will was probated on 15 February 1755.
