Henry was born circa 1576 in Wingerworth, Derbyshire, England. Henry married Anne Needham in Derbyshire, England. She was the widow of Lawrence Blundeston, Esquire of Hexgrave Park, in Derbyshire. He was the heir of his father's estate. Henry's wife, Anne, died in Wingerworth, Derbyshire, England, leaving him a widower. Henry married 2nd Anne Alvey in Derbyshire, England. He was High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1624. In that same year, he felt it necessary to see King James I, who was on his journey from Scotland to London. At the time, he was described as quite advanced in age & it cost him his life. He fell at the feet of the King on 17 August 1624 and died. He was buried at Wingerworth, Derbyshire, England, in the All Saints Church.

- [S1476] John Burke, A General and Heraldic Dictionary of the Peerage and Baronetage of the Britich Empire, Volume I: page 643 - Henry Henlok - espoused Anne, daughter of Henry Needham, Esquire of Kirtlington, Notts.m and relict of Lawrence Blundeston, Esquire of Hexgrave Park, in the same shire; but had no issue. He married 2ndly Anne, daugher and heir of Richard Alvey, of Corber, Derbyshire, by who he had a son Henry, and a daughter, Anne, married to henry Powtrell, Esquire of West Hallam. Mr. Hunloke, being High Sheriff of Derbyshire in 1624, thought it his duty to meet King James I in his majesty's journey from Scotland to London, but being of advanced years, the fatigue was greater than he could bear, and the effort cost hism his life. He fell down dead in the presence of the king, 17th August, in that year.
