Jacob was born circa 1690 in Mattituck in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.4 Jacob married Margaret Parshall, daughter of James Parshall and Margaret (?), in December 1710 in the Town of Southold.5 Jacob was a member of Captain Reeves Southold Company Number 2 in 1715. Jacob departed this life on Saturday, 24 May 1732 in the Town of Southold. Letters of Administration of his estate were granted on 9 March 1732/33 to his brother, David, and his wife Margaret..6
