     Israel was born circa 1708 in Mattituck in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Israel married Hannah Smith in February 1735 in the Town of Southold.2 Israel and Hannah had children: Samuel [1736-1834] [m. 11/10/1773 Elizabeth Tuthill], Polly [circa 1740], Hannah [circa 1742], Polly [circa 1743], Hannah [circa 1744], Silas [7/04/1745-5/08/1846] [m. 10/00/1764 Mary Ann Benjamin], Mary [1/15/1746-10/23/1816] [m. 1/15/1763 Uriah Rogers] & Anna [circa 1750]. Israel died while he was at sea after 12 February 1756. He is mentioned in his father's will of this date.
