     Amanda was born on Sunday, 15 March 1835 in Hainsville, Sandyton Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. Amanda departed this life on Thursday, 24 December 1863 in Dexter Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, at age 28 years, 9 months and 9 days.1 She was buried at Hamlin Township, Eaton County, Michigan, in Oakwood Cemetery. She was first buried on the family farm in Dexter.
